Sharing My Story – Guidelines

Sharing our faith journey with another is one of the greatest (and scariest) privileges that God gives us. Here are some ideas for a smooth story.

My life before Jesus

• When did I first learn about Jesus?
• Who told me about Him?

My Conversion

• Describe my decision to follow Jesus (if you experienced a discrete time and place- not everyone does).

My Life Now

• What’s different?
• Picture myself on a spiritual “ladder” climbing to God. Describe the events on each rung.
• What does God have in store for me next?

Hints

• Pray for guidance in piecing together your story
• Be honest
• Be brief – shoot for five minutes
