Rev. Matthew Garrabrant
Pastoral transitions are an exciting time in the life of our church. We’ve grown to know and love Pastor Krall, will miss him greatly, and wish him well in his retirement and new ministry opportunities. As of July 1, 2019, our new pastor will be Rev. Matthew Garrabrant. We look forward to our next ministry adventure together!
Personal Background
Matthew has been married to his wife, Angie, for 22 years. During that time, they have been blessed with 7 children (3 boys and 4 girls) and are expecting their 8th child at the end of February. Their oldest son, Luke, is attending The Tiffin University. Lane is in the 9th grade, Nathan is a 6th grader, Fern is a 4th grader, their twins Bristoll and Brielle are in kindergarten and Nora is 3. Their family also includes their 3 dogs. They also raise registered Savanna goats.
Matthew was born and raised by Christian parents on their multi-generation dairy farm in Marengo, Ohio and he fits beautifully with the rural Ohio culture. Matthew was a full-time dairy farmer before he was called into the ministry in 2005. Matthew feels the Lord called him from being a herdsman to a Shepherd. He has led his current congregation, The Tiffin Harmony UMC, through Healthy Church Initiative (HCI) and they are currently working to put prescriptions in place.

Favorite Bible Verse
Matthew’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. And in all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Matthew and his family stay busy doing family things centered around being in the outdoors. They enjoy camping, fishing, riding bikes and always enjoy it when fair time comes around.
